Wednesday, May 27, 2026 — Day 6 of Our Northern Italy Trip
今天就在瓦伦纳休息。
Today we simply took it easy and relaxed in Varenna.
晚饭时我们决定今天不再慢悠悠地享受意大利餐前酒时光，而是提前去那家每天门口都排着长队的意大利面餐厅。餐厅六点开门，我们五点半就已经站在门口排队了，结果居然还有两组人比我们更早到。六点一到，店员开始安排座位，我们如愿坐到了喜欢的室外小巷位置。这家店的菜单其实非常简单，只有四种意大利面可以选择。我们点了其中两道。本来看到谷歌地图上的评分那么高，期待值也被拉得很高，但实际吃下来却有点疑惑为什么评价会这么好。千层面还算不错，但我点的那份培根蛋酱意面真的很普通，几乎没什么味道。只能说，也许是我期待太高了吧。
For dinner, we decided not to slowly enjoy the usual Italian aperitivo tonight, and instead headed early to the pasta restaurant that always had a long line outside every day. The restaurant opened at six, and we were already standing in line by 5:30, only to discover that two groups had arrived even earlier than us. As soon as six o’clock came, the staff began seating people, and we happily got one of the outdoor tables in the little alleyway that we wanted.
The menu at this restaurant was actually very simple, with only four pasta dishes to choose from. We ordered two of them. After seeing such high ratings on Google Maps, our expectations had been set quite high, but after eating there, we were honestly a bit puzzled about why the reviews were so glowing. The lasagna was ok but soupy, and the carbonara I ordered was really quite ordinary, with almost no flavor at all. I guess my expectations had simply been too high.
