到达台湾 – Arrived in Taiwan

到不同城市旅行有个问题，就是路途会消耗掉大量时间。我们早上九点从曼谷出发，结果折腾到现在，整整二十四小时才终于安顿下来！

One problem with visiting different cities, is the loss of time traveling. We left Bangkok at 9am to fly to Taiwan and we’re finally settled 24 hours later!

今天要飞去台湾啦！我是挺兴奋的，可以看到一个完全不同的华文世界。某人去过无数次，他倒显得风轻云淡，没有我这么雀跃。前天已经在酒店预约了去机场的出租车，没想到竟然比叫 Grab 还便宜些：500 泰铢，还包含过桥费。中午十二点多的航班，三个多小时后顺利抵达桃园机场。一下飞机就感受到台湾的凉爽，比想象中舒适得多。

So, today we’re in Taiwan! I’m pretty excited — it feels like stepping into a completely different Chinese-speaking world. Someone, who has been there countless times, is much more nonchalant about it and nowhere near as giddy as I am. Two days ago we booked a taxi to the airport through the hotel, and surprisingly it turned out to be even cheaper than Grab: 500 baht ($15), tolls included! Our flight was just after noon, and a little over three hours later we arrived smoothly at Taoyuan Airport. The moment we stepped off the plane, we were greeted by Taiwan’s cool air — much more comfortable than I had imagined.

在机场买了一张 5 天不限流量的电话卡，600 台币。原本准备叫 Uber 去酒店，显示 1400 台币，结果看到一个机场接送柜台只要 1350 台币，立刻果断换方案。司机非常友善，说着一口熟悉的台湾腔。抵达酒店时已经是晚上将近八点了，在附近随意找到一家牛肉面馆，台湾牛肉面真的名不虚传，随便进一家味道都很好。

At the Taipei airport we bought a 5-day unlimited-data eSIM card for 600 NT ($18). We had originally planned to call an Uber to the hotel, which showed 1400 NT, but then we noticed an airport transfer counter offering it for just 1350 NT, so we immediately changed plans. The driver was very friendly and spoke with that familiar Taiwanese accent. By the time we reached the hotel it was nearly 8 p.m. We randomly found a beef noodle shop nearby — and Taiwanese beef noodle soup really lives up to its reputation; even a casual spot tastes great.

就这样我们抵达了这次旅程的最后一站，新的篇章从一碗热气腾腾的牛肉面开始。

And just like that, we arrived at the final stop of this journey, beginning a new chapter with a steaming bowl of beef noodle soup.

Bear was being helpful at the Bangkok airport … 小熊在曼谷机场还挺“帮忙”的…
