去奥克兰 – Going to Auckland – Our Trips Around The World

今天是旅程中的又一次启程。中午十二点的飞机飞往新西兰奥克兰。登机前在机场又处理了一会儿工作，落地时已是傍晚五点半。奥克兰的入境流程和澳大利亚相似，机器通关很快，但因为要申报随身带的零食，排队花了不少时间。海关工作人员拦下了我们的牛肉干——他说一般情况下可以入境，但因为包装已经开封，只能作废。于是，只好眼睁睁地看着它进了回收箱。

Today marked another chapter in our journey. Our noon flight took us to Auckland, New Zealand. Before boarding, I spent some time at the airport handling a bit of work, and by the time we landed, it was already 5:30 p.m.

The immigration process in Auckland was similar to that in Australia—automated and quick—but we spent quite a while in line because we had to declare the snacks we were carrying. The customs officer snagged my beef jerky—he said it’s usually allowed, but since the package had already been opened, it had to be discarded. So, we could only watch helplessly as it went into the disposal bin.

飞机窗外细雨连绵，看来奥克兰也注定要与雨为伴。 – From the plane window, a steady drizzle fell—seems Auckland, too, is destined to be accompanied by rain.

等到入住民宿，已经是晚上八点多，窗外依旧下着雨。我们在附近的一家日本餐馆吃了顿热乎的晚饭，就这样结束了第一天的新西兰之旅。

Due to the long process at the airport and the 45 minute drive, after we checked into our Airbnb, it was already past eight in the evening – and the rain was still falling outside. We had a warm dinner at a nearby Japanese restaurant, bringing the short first day of our New Zealand journey to a close.
